YOUNG ARTIST - LIM WEI XIONG

Name: Lim WeiXiong
Age: 4

At the age of 4, WeiXiong is still at doodling stage, learning how to draw basic objects. He loves drawing vehicles and he is pretty good at it.

JIN ANN - Underwater World

Medium: Oil Pastel + Poster Colour

JinAnn is still doing lots of doodling work. She is learning how to draw simple objects so lots of attention needs to be given to her, guiding her along the way. JinAnn loves colouring. She enjoys using poster/water colour in her work. Through this lesson, JinAnn gets to learn the use of mixed medium, water-resistant oil pastel with water based water colour. Pretty nice overall effects :)

JINYANG - Still Life "Fruits"

Medium: Oil Pastel

This is an unexpected outcome from JinYang. Fruits were placed in front of him and we actually wanted him to do a still life drawing using his observation. What we did not expect is that JinYang injected in his own creativity, created patterns instead of toning when colouring the items. Nice attempt. We love the results!

NICHOLAS - Still Life Drawing

Medium: Oil Pastel

In this lesson, the main objective is to let the kids learn how to observe lighting, shadows and shades. Using different tones of oil pastel, Nicholas has created a great masterpiece of his own. Pretty good in his observation, drawing the items placed in front of him with right proportion. Good Job Nicholas!

DARRYL - Still Life Drawing

Medium: Oil Pastel

It is definitely a huge challenge for a young kid like Darryl to do Still Life Drawing. 1st time exposure to them and they need to learn how to see shadows, shades, shapes of objects placed in front of them. Though challenging, Darryl took a daring attempt to finish it. Not perfect but definitely a great attempt. Good job Darryl!

CADY - Skyscraper in Frames

Medium: Colour Markers + Poster Colour + Oil Pastel

This artpiece strongly reflects Cady's colourful world! She has chosen bright primary colours for all her buildings, not forgetting to have cheerful looking clouds, clear blue sky as well as the smily bright sunshine as part of her drawing.

With the use of Oil Pastel and water colour painting for the 'mountain' background, Cady is now exposed to use of mixed medium. She gets to know that by using water-resistant oil pastel with water colour, it can creates an overall unique feel to her artpieces. Good attempt by Cady
